The Steed project has successfully developed a biometric wearable for horses, monitoring vital health indicators through integrated mechanics, electronics, and firmware. A functional prototype achieving TRL5 was completed in the first phase, laying the groundwork for further development. In the second phase, the hardware and software were refined to TRL7, resulting in two industrial-grade prototypes ready for mass production. The project was supported by the European Regional Development Fund , with total funding of €69,965 across both phases.
